RIPTA COMMUNITY SITE VISIT AT MANCINI CENTER CANCELLED DUE TO SNOWSTORM
February 4, 2016
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has cancelled the community site visit scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Mancini Center in North Providence due to the impending morning snowstorm.
Every
week, RIPTA’s Photo Identification staff travel to communities
throughout the state to provide bus passes to qualified seniors and
individuals
with disabilities, who are unable to get to our office in downtown
Providence. The Photo ID Office, which is open Monday through Thursday
from 9 am to Noon and 1 pm to 4 pm, will be closed all day every Friday
to provide photo identification “road trip” services
around the state. The January – March 2016 road trip schedule is
available at RIPTA.com.
Photo identification bus passes are available to seniors and other qualified individuals with valid documentation. Identification cards for people with disabilities and senior passes will cost $25.00 in 2016.
For information on how to qualify for RIPTA’s Bus Pass Program for Seniors and People with Disabilities, customers can call 784-9500, ext. 604 or visit ripta.com.
